2011 Legatum Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship, which recently opened for entries and offers a Grand Prize of $100,000 and five further prizes of $50,000 each.

Recent research from the Legatum Institute* confirms that entrepreneurs – and the businesses they lead – are the enablers of growth and innovation in every economy. The Africa Awards, now in its fourth year, is designed to recognise and reward these role models: by championing their expertise and experience, we celebrate high standards of business excellence, encourage aspiring small business owners, and stimulate the flow of investment capital within the continent.

Enabling and celebrating entrepreneurship is therefore critical to the local and national economy, as well as to business owners. Nominate your business!!!!

The Africa Awards are open for entries until August 24th 2011 and the winners will be announced at a televised Gala Awards Banquet on December 8th 2011 in Nairobi, which marks the culmination of  a high level one-day conference on entrepreneurship.

Please let them know if you have any questions; further information regarding the awards can be found online at http://www.africaawards.com/ or by contacting info@AfricaAwards.com.  Please join their online discussions  through Twitter (@AfricaAwards), LinkedIn (Legatum Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship), or Facebook.
